[00:12] Introduction: Exploring Human Orgasmic Potential

Host: Dr. Kanwal Bawa | Guest: Susan Bratton | Runtime: 51:00 | Published: May 16, 2022

Dr. Bawa: Welcome to the Dr. Sex Fairy Podcast. I am Dr. Kanwal Bawa and I am here to transform your life. I help people from all over the world improve orgasm and sexual function through my medical practice, Bawa Medical.

Dr. Bawa: Today's episode is about human orgasmic potential. I have Susan Bratton with me in the studio. Susan calls herself the Orgasmanaut and has spent years teaching people about pleasure, connection and advanced orgasm techniques. Welcome, Susan.

Susan Bratton: It really is a hush-hush topic, which is why conversations like this matter so much.

[02:59] Celebrating Sexual Function Instead of Hiding It

Susan Bratton: I was recently talking with a doctor friend who was excited because his nighttime erections had returned after changing how he was breathing during sleep. His friend thought it was strange that he was celebrating that.

Susan Bratton: I thought it was wonderful. We should celebrate sexual function instead of acting embarrassed by it.

Dr. Bawa: Exactly. People have told me I am losing my mind by practicing sexual medicine so openly, but we are helping people. Today we are combining the medical and sensual sides of orgasm.

[04:18] How Many Kinds of Orgasm Are There?

Dr. Bawa: You talk about multiple kinds of orgasms. What do you mean by that?

Susan Bratton: The body has far more orgasmic potential than most people realize. Orgasms can involve the clitoris, vagina, G-spot area, cervix, nipples, prostate and other erogenous zones.

Susan Bratton: People often think orgasm has one pathway, but the nervous system gives us many different ways to experience pleasure.

[08:07] The Clitoris Is Bigger Than Most People Think

Susan Bratton: The clitoris is not just the small external glans people see. Much of the structure extends internally around the vaginal canal.

Susan Bratton: When that tissue fills with blood, it changes the entire experience of arousal and penetration.

Dr. Bawa: That is exactly why I focus so much on blood flow and tissue quality medically. The clitoris is the seat of female orgasm for many women, yet it is astonishingly misunderstood.

[11:52] Nipple Orgasms and Other Erogenous Zones

Susan Bratton: Nipples can be intensely orgasmic for women and for men. Some people can climax from nipple stimulation alone.

Susan Bratton: The larger message is to stop reducing sex to penis-in-vagina intercourse. The whole body is available for pleasure.

Dr. Bawa: I especially like that point for men because many men never think of their nipples as sexual organs at all.

[16:24] Create a Sex-Life Bucket List

Susan Bratton: I encourage couples to create a personalized sex-life plan or bucket list. If you do the same thing over and over, sex can get boring. There is always something new to learn.

Susan Bratton: Trying different kinds of touch, positions, techniques and toys expands skill and pleasure and keeps long-term relationships interesting.

Dr. Bawa: We definitely do not want boring.

[20:05] Female Arousal Takes Time

Susan Bratton: Female arousal is not necessarily complicated; it is often simply slower. Women need time for the erectile tissue of the vulva and clitoris to fill with blood.

Susan Bratton: My husband and I often begin lovemaking with a long yoni massage. That gives me time to relax into my body and become fully aroused before penetration.

Dr. Bawa: That is an important point. Men and women are physiologically different, and expecting a woman to be instantly ready creates unnecessary pressure.

[28:06] Expanding Orgasm Instead of Racing Toward It

Susan Bratton: People can learn to stay with pleasure rather than rushing toward a quick climax. Orgasmic capacity can be expanded with practice and awareness.

Susan Bratton: Instead of treating orgasm as a finish line, think of it as waves of sensation that can build, change and sometimes continue.

[34:52] Aging, Sensation and Sexual Function

Susan Bratton: As people age, some notice decreased genital sensation even when they are otherwise healthy. They want to know whether there are ways to restore sensitivity.

Dr. Bawa: That is where medical sexual wellness can be very helpful. For women, the O-Shot can improve tissue quality and sensitivity. For men, the P-Shot can serve a similar purpose.

Dr. Bawa: Size matters for women too because the clitoris can become smaller with age. I use regenerative treatments to improve blood flow, sensitivity and responsiveness.

[42:40] Sex Toys and Expanding Pleasure

Susan Bratton: Sex technology has evolved tremendously. There are devices for external clitoral stimulation, internal stimulation, prostate pleasure, couples' play and much more.

Susan Bratton: I encourage people to have different kinds of sex toys because they expand the types of sensation you can experience. Toys do not replace a partner; they add options.

Dr. Bawa: That is exactly what this episode is about—exploring human orgasmic potential rather than limiting it.

[48:07] Susan's Orgasm Programs

Dr. Bawa: How can people learn more from you?

Susan Bratton: I have several programs focused on advanced orgasm technique. Expand Her Orgasm Tonight teaches clitoral stroking and how to stay in the wave of orgasm longer. Female Liquid Orgasm focuses on female ejaculation and squirting. I also teach techniques for connected sex and expanded pleasure.

Dr. Bawa: Thank you for such a fascinating discussion.
