Stronger Together

BawaWave® can produce meaningful results as a stand-alone treatment. However, combining treatments allows Dr. Bawa to give her patients stronger, more comprehensive results by addressing circulation, tissue quality, sensitivity, hormones, regenerative signaling, pelvic function, and sexual wellness from multiple directions.

Every combination is personalized according to the patient’s anatomy, concerns, medical history, goals, and previous treatment.

Treatment Designed for Every Stage of You.

From postpartum recovery and perimenopause to menopause and postmenopause, our treatments are personalized around hormone changes, vaginal and vulvar health, pelvic-floor function, urinary leakage and incontinence, libido, comfort, sensation, metabolism, and confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about prostate health, screening timelines, and symptom management.
Is BawaTone® the same as pelvic floor therapy?

No. Pelvic floor therapy is a broad term that may include physical therapy, exercises, biofeedback and behavioral techniques. BawaTone® is Dr. Bawa’s proprietary EMS-based pelvic floor treatment protocol and is incorporated into The Bawa Method™.

Why is BawaTone® stronger than Kegel exercises?

A Kegel can only be as strong as the contraction a woman is able to create herself, and technique varies from person to person. BawaTone® directly stimulates the pelvic floor with controlled EMS, and the intensity can be progressively increased as the muscles strengthen.

Can BawaTone® improve urinary incontinence?

Yes. BawaTone® directly strengthens and retrains the pelvic floor muscles involved in bladder control, helping women improve leakage, urgency and confidence during coughing, laughing, exercise, travel and everyday life.

Can BawaTone® help with urinary urgency?

Yes. The pelvic floor plays an important role in controlling urgency as well as stress-related leakage. Strengthening and retraining these muscles can help improve control over sudden urges to urinate.

Is BawaTone® good after pregnancy and childbirth?

Yes. Pregnancy and childbirth place significant stress on the pelvic floor. BawaTone® is an excellent option for postpartum recovery, helping rebuild pelvic floor strength and coordination after pregnancy and delivery, even after a c-section.

Do I need to have a problem before doing BawaTone®?

No. BawaTone® can also be used preventively to strengthen and maintain the pelvic floor before symptoms develop, just as people exercise other muscle groups to preserve strength and function over time.

Can BawaTone® be used during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause?

Yes. BawaTone® can be used throughout adulthood and is especially useful as the body changes over time. Pelvic floor strengthening can help maintain urinary, pelvic and sexual function during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause.

Can hormone therapy also help pelvic floor health?

Hormonal changes can affect vaginal and urinary tissues and may contribute to pelvic and urinary symptoms. When appropriate, hormone optimization can be considered as part of The Bawa Method™ alongside pelvic floor strengthening with BawaTone®.

Does BawaTone® hurt?

No. BawaTone® is painless. Women feel the pelvic floor muscles contracting, and the intensity can be progressively increased as they become accustomed to treatment and their muscles become stronger.

Is there downtime after BawaTone®?

No. There is zero downtime. Women can immediately return to all normal activities, including exercise and sexual activity.

How many BawaTone® treatments will I need?

Treatment is individualized based on pelvic floor strength, symptoms and goals. Dr. Bawa adjusts the treatment series and intensity according to each woman’s response.

Will I need maintenance treatments?

Many women choose maintenance treatments to preserve pelvic floor strength after completing an initial series. Maintenance also makes sense for women using BawaTone® preventively.

How much does BawaTone® cost?

BawaTone® is individualized, so cost depends on your pelvic floor strength, symptoms, goals and the treatment plan Dr. Bawa recommends. Book a virtual or in-office consultation with Dr. Bawa so your treatment can be personalized to you.

Do you offer financing for BawaTone®?

Yes. We offer various financing options, including payment plans. We do not want cost to be the reason you put off taking care of your pelvic floor health, so ask us about the options available at virtual or in-person your consultation.
