Sex & Your Ex
Ep. 101: Sex & Your Ex
Host: Dr. Kanwal Bawa | Runtime: 4 mins | Published: May 5, 2023
Dr. Bawa: Welcome to the Friday mini-episode of America's number one sex podcast, Dr. Sex Fairy. I am Dr. Kanwal Bawa, America’s favorite sex doctor, and I am here to transform your life. Today, I want to talk about a recent interview with Gwyneth Paltrow where she spoke candidly about her past relationships with Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, and her ex-husband Chris Martin.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Brad Pitt and Chemistry
Dr. Bawa: Paltrow shared that both Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck were good kissers, but she had off-the-charts chemistry with Brad Pitt. She even went as far as to say, “Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, kind of, at the time and then Ben was, like, technically excellent.” Her comment got me thinking about how we often hold onto feelings for our exes, even years after the relationship has ended. Paltrow’s relationships ended years ago as well, but you sense a fire burning for Brad Pitt on some level even today.
Do You Miss Sex With Your Ex?
Dr. Bawa: I would like to pose some questions to you. How often do you think about your ex or your exes? Do you compare them to each other? Do you compare them to your current partner? Do you miss sex with your ex?
Dr. Bawa: It's natural to have memories of past relationships and compare them to current ones. However, it's important to recognize that every relationship is unique and serves a different purpose in our lives. We can learn valuable lessons from each relationship, even after it has ended.
Why Are You Still Thinking About Them?
Dr. Bawa: If you find yourself thinking about your ex or exes often, it is important to reflect on why. Perhaps you're reminiscing about happy memories or are just feeling nostalgic. Perhaps you just had a fight with your current partner. Perhaps you have been unable to find a stable relationship since. Perhaps you simply miss sex with your ex. Whatever the reason, it is important to acknowledge these feelings and explore them further.
Emotional, Sexual or Chemistry?
Dr. Bawa: I want to have a deeper conversation with you about this topic. I want to know how often you think about your ex, and what exactly you miss about them. If you are in a relationship currently, what is the difference between the two? Is it emotional? Is it sexual? Is it the chemistry? Is it memories that you shared that you cherish to this day?
Write to Me: Sex and My Ex
Dr. Bawa: I want you to write to me. Email me at askme@drsexfairy.com and in the subject line type “sex and my ex.” I will read every single email personally and do a full episode about the topic. I might even call you to discuss your story, so do send me your phone number.
Closing
Dr. Bawa: Thank you for tuning into this week's mini-episode of the Dr. Sex Fairy Podcast. I look forward to your emails. Until next time.
